Two Tier Sandstone Patio in Chaddesden

A two tier Kandla grey sandstone patio built into the corner of a Chaddesden garden, held up by a curved brick retaining wall.

The corner started as a bare, dug out bed in the artificial grass. We built the curved wall to carry the change in level, set out and compacted the base inside it, then laid the sandstone across two stepped tiers that wrap around the corner of the lawn.

A small footprint, but a proper bit of brickwork and paving that turned a dead corner into a feature.
